Colorado Dairy Accident: Six Found Dead at Weld County Farm

Six people tragically died in a confined space incident at a Weld County dairy farm in Colorado, despite emergency services responding quickly.

Six people were killed in a tragic dairy accident in Weld County, Colorado on August 20. The incident occurred on the 32000 block of Weld County Road 18, approximately 30 miles north of Denver.

Emergency Response and Victims

Emergency crews from the Southeast Weld Fire Protection District were called around 6 p.m. for a confined space rescue. Fire Chief Tom Beach confirmed that responders later recovered the bodies of six individuals from the site.

“The District extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims,” he said in a statement.

Officials have not shared further details on how the accident occurred, though local media reported the location as a dairy farm.

Law Enforcement Confirms No Criminal Activity

A spokesperson for the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, Melissa Chesmore, stated that their team also responded to the incident and found no evidence of criminal activity.

OSHA Investigation Underway

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has launched an investigation into the accident. OSHA spokesperson Chauntra Rideaux mentioned that additional details will be released once the inspection is complete.
