Apple Music, the Cupertino company’s music streaming service, does not offer a free, ad-supported plan like rival Spotify, but you may get a one-month trial in some regions before paying up. If you have never subscribed to Apple Music, you may take advantage of a promotion that has been available to Shazam app users for years, which provides you three months of unrestricted access to Apple Music for free.
We tried these steps on an iPhone running iOS 17 with a free two-month trial that expires on April 14. However, if you’re using an older version of Apple’s smartphone operating system, you should be able to take advantage of the three-month promotion.
It’s also worth noting that, while Shazam’s website says the promotion ends on March 31, you may still obtain up to three months free by scanning a QR code on Apple’s website.
It’s also worth mentioning that after the free trial finishes, you’ll be charged a monthly fee, so cancel your membership as soon as you take advantage of the deal and continue to use Apple Music for the balance of the trial period.
Apple Music for free via Shazam on iOS
- Visit Shazam’s landing page for the promotion using Safari on iOS.
- Tap on Redeem or Verify your identity.
- Press the power button twice to authenticate using Face ID or Touch ID.
- Now, tap on Continue to Apple Music.
- Alternatively, visit Shazam’s alternative landing page and scan the QR code to activate your free trial.
