Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently recovering from food poisoning and will continue to manage state affairs while resting at home, his office announced on Sunday.
Diagnosis and Current Condition
The 75-year-old leader fell ill overnight and was diagnosed with intestinal inflammation and dehydration. According to the official statement, he is receiving intravenous fluids to aid his recovery.
“In accordance with his doctors’ instructions, the prime minister will rest at home for the next three days and will manage state affairs from there,” the office confirmed.
Netanyahu’s Medical History
Netanyahu has a medical history that includes significant procedures; he was fitted with a pacemaker in 2023 and underwent prostate surgery last December following a diagnosis of a urinary tract infection. His health will be closely monitored during this recovery period.
