Fortnite players worldwide reported major login problems, sparking speculation that the popular battle royale game was down. Many users saw error messages stating:
“Unable to sign in to your account for online services” and “Please try again later.”
Outage tracking platform Downdetector recorded a surge in reports over the past hour, with most complaints centered around login failures.
Epic Games Confirms Login Issue
Epic Games quickly acknowledged the problem, confirming that it’s not just Fortnite being impacted.
“We’re working to resolve an issue where players are unable to log-in reliably into Fortnite, and are working to resolve this ASAP,” the company stated on its status page.
The company added that the issue also affects Rocket League and Fall Guys, both of which use Epic Online Services.
