In a surprising twist to last week’s high-stakes summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, a local man from Anchorage became the proud owner of a brand-new Ural motorcycle.

According to reports, a Russian embassy official handed over the keys to the bike in the parking lot of an Anchorage hotel, where the Russian delegation was staying.

“I have to say that this is a personal gift from the President of the Russian Federation,” said Andrei Ledenev, an embassy employee, while presenting the motorcycle to the man, identified as Mark Warren.

A Stunning Gift and a Joyride

Warren, visibly stunned, climbed onto the shiny new Ural, with Ledenev and another man joining him in the classic sidecar setup. The trio then took the bike for a celebratory spin, smiling and waving as cameras captured the moment.

Warren expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s night and day. I like my old one, but this one is obviously much better. I’m speechless; it’s amazing. Thank you very much.”

How Did This Happen? A Street Chat Led to the Gift

The story began when Russian state TV reporters interviewed locals in Anchorage ahead of the summit. They met Warren, who was riding his old Soviet-era Ural motorcycle.

Warren explained to the reporters that he loved the bike but struggled to find spare parts, including a starter, because the manufacturing plant is located in Ukraine.

Reporter Valentin Bogdanov asked Warren, “So for you, if they resolve this conflict here in Alaska, I mean Putin and Trump, it will be good?” Warren responded, “Yes, it will be good.”
