Free game Fridays are alive. According to IGN, both Epic Games Store and Amazon Prime Gaming are giving away multiple free titles this week — five in total — spanning action, strategy, and puzzle genres.
These are not throwaway titles either. Between Epic and Prime, players are looking at roughly $70 worth of full games up for grabs. Here’s the breakdown of what’s available and how long you have to claim them.
Epic Games Store: Road Redemption & 112 Operator
Epic’s weekly giveaway includes Road Redemption and 112 Operator, both available through August 14.
Road Redemption is the headliner — described as a chaotic, combat-heavy motorcycle racing game where you lead a biker gang on a violent road trip. IGN compares it to Road Rash, but “faster, louder, and meaner.”
The second title, 112 Operator, trades speed for strategy. It’s a real-time simulation where you manage emergency dispatch in any city in the world — answering calls, deploying units, and coordinating crisis responses over real-world maps. IGN also notes the game’s Android version is free right now for mobile players.
Both are solid picks for gamers who enjoy either adrenaline or tactical thinking.
Prime Gaming: Three Free Titles This Week
Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away three titles:
- Sid Meier’s Civilization III: Complete — A classic turn-based empire builder with both expansion packs (Play the World and Conquests) bundled in. While older, it remains a fan favorite for strategy lovers.
- Thief: Definitive Edition — Players step into the shoes of Garrett, a master thief navigating a moody, stealth-driven world where you rob elites, dodge guards, and manipulate the environment.
- The Academy: The First Riddle — A puzzle-adventure game starring Sam, a student solving mysteries inside a prestigious yet eerie school. IGN calls it “a quieter game, but with clever puzzles and charm.”
