Discord, the popular platform for gamers and online communities, experienced a major outage on Monday, leaving tens of thousands of users unable to access servers.
According to Downdetector, more than 93,800 people reported issues with the service.
Discord acknowledged the disruption on its status page, citing a problem that made some “guilds” unavailable to members.
“This issue has worsened and is causing widespread availability issues,” the company said in an update. “We are working as quickly as possible to restore traffic.”
What is the ‘Guilds Unavailability’ Error?
On Discord, a guild refers to a server — community spaces where users chat, share media, and hang out. A “Guilds Unavailable” message means that some or all servers are temporarily inaccessible.
Such outages can result from server failures, traffic spikes, or technical issues on Discord’s end. The company has not disclosed the exact cause but confirmed that engineers are investigating.
