Holly, the woman brutally attacked during the city’s jazz festival, is receiving overwhelming public support through a GiveSendGo campaign, which has surpassed $185,000 in donations—far beyond its initial $25,000 goal. The story gained national attention after disturbing videos of the assault went viral.

Among the top donors are Republican Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and conservative commentator Benny Johnson, each contributing $5,000.

Viral Video Sparks Outrage and Support

The violent assault on Holly and another man by a mob in downtown Cincinnati was caught on video and widely shared across social media platforms. The graphic footage led to widespread condemnation and triggered a fundraising campaign that quickly became the #1 trending campaign on GiveSendGo.

“Holly’s GiveSendGo is now the #1 trending campaign on the entire site. This happened because of you. Thank you to everyone who’s donated, shared, and stood with Holly,” said Benny Johnson on X (formerly Twitter).

Vivek Ramaswamy Donates, Speaks With Holly

Vivek Ramaswamy, who is currently running for governor of Ohio, confirmed that he personally spoke with Holly and contributed $5,000 to her fund.

He is one of the joint highest donors, alongside Benny Johnson, who launched the campaign on Holly’s behalf.

GiveSendGo Campaign Details: Helping Holly Recover

According to the campaign description, Holly is a single, working-class mother who was “brutally beaten unconscious by a violent mob.” She reportedly suffers from a severe concussion and brain hemorrhaging, and is currently unable to work due to the extent of her injuries.

She has also been relocated to an undisclosed secure location because of ongoing threats to her safety.

“Every American should be able to walk the streets of their hometowns safely. In Holly’s case no police were present and no ambulance arrived to help. She had to get to the hospital on her own,” the campaign page states.

The fundraiser is aimed at covering:

  • Medical expenses
  • Legal fees
  • Lost wages
  • Security-related costs

Holly Speaks: “Very bad brain trauma”

Holly shared her first on-camera message since the attack, expressing gratitude to those who supported her.

“I want to say thank you to everyone for all of the love and support. It’s definitely what’s keeping me going. And you have just brought back faith in humanity,” Holly said.
“It’s been very, very hard, and I’m still recovering. I still have a very bad brain trauma. God bless you all. Thank you.”

She also vowed to fight for justice:

“I never want any mother or daughter to have to endure this again. I will fight to ensure justice. So help me God.”

Arrests Made in Holly’s Assault Case

As of now, six individuals have been charged, and four arrests have been made in connection with the attack. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.

Public Response: “Americans stand together”

“Let’s show Holly that she’s not forgotten—and that she’s not alone,” reads the campaign description. “Let’s show the world that Americans stand together 🇺🇸.”

The viral success of the campaign highlights growing public concern over urban violence and victim support, and positions Holly’s case as a symbol of resilience and community solidarity.
