The tragic death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas has placed rapper D4vd under heavy media scrutiny after her decomposed body was discovered inside his abandoned Tesla.

Rivas, who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024, was identified through forensic evidence and a distinctive tattoo on her leg.

Police confirmed that, despite speculation, D4vd has been ruled out as directly involved in the teenager’s death. A representative for the rapper stated that he is “fully cooperating” with authorities.

How the Discovery Was Made

On September 8, locals in a Los Angeles neighborhood alerted police after noticing a strong odor coming from the parked Tesla. Investigators later confirmed the vehicle had once belonged to rapper D4vd.

The LAPD located the remains inside the car and launched a full investigation.

Celeste Rivas Cause of Death: What We Know So Far

The cause and time of death remain unknown, and the Los Angeles Police Department is awaiting a coroner’s report before classifying the case.

According to NBC News, Rivas’ remains were not intact when found. She was ultimately identified through a “Shh…” tattoo on her leg, which her mother recognized.

The LAPD stated:

“At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death. Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time.”

Who Was Celeste Rivas?

The LAPD confirmed the victim as Celesta Rivas Hernandez, citing records from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, where she had been reported missing earlier this year.

She was described as having wavy black hair and weighing about 71 pounds. When discovered, she was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal chain bracelet, and stud earrings.

Investigation Continues

The LAPD has not classified the case as a homicide until the coroner’s findings are complete. Officials stressed that updates will be shared once the report determines the official cause and manner of death.

Meanwhile, the case has drawn widespread attention online, sparking discussions about missing children, celebrity ties, and unanswered questions surrounding the final moments of Celeste Rivas.
