Apple is reportedly developing a new product category. The company is said to be working on a foldable device. According to reports, it may have a larger screen than the majority of foldable smartphones on the market today. The device is also thought to be identical to the current iPad Mini. A recent report also predicted the release date of this alleged Apple foldable device.

According to The Elec, Apple is developing a foldable device that will resemble a smartphone with a huge display. According to the claim, the inside screen of this alleged book-style foldable could be 7 to 8 inches in size, specifically between 7.6 and 8.4 inches.

If true, this might be Apple’s first folding phone or tablet. According to the source, the Apple foldable could be released in either 2026 or 2027. The rumoured size of Apple’s foldable smartphone might replace the iPad Mini, which was upgraded in 2021 and features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen.

The 2021 iPad Mini is powered by an in-house A15 Bionic processor. It comes in 64GB and 256GB storage capacities, as well as Pink, Purple, Starlight, and Space Grey colour variations.

According to an earlier report, Apple is working on upgrading the iPad Mini to include an OLED display. It is also believed to have a larger display than the present model.

The iPad Mini, which is expected to be released in 2026, could have an 8.7-inch screen, which is 0.4 inches larger than the present iPad. However, it is still said to be the tiniest iPad.
