Avocado toast is in trend these days and without jumping it to the ocean I tried to figure out what’s the reason behind it, avocado toast calories, facts, and every detail. After researching a lot about avocado toast I am convinced about its health benefits however the question is “is it worth the attention it gets?”.

One medium-sized avocado without the skin and seed has approximately 225 calories and a normal-sized avocado toast with poached egg contains approximately 330 Calories. Additionally, it contains 1.6g of saturated fat in it.

Avocados Fun Facts

Because of the trend, most people preferring avocados into their diet. It’s not because they have known the facts behind its popularity but due to most people are adding it and they following the same pattern. All they know about is that avocados have healthy fats and good for health.

Undoubtedly, Avocados are high in fat, and according to the latest trends, fat is where it’s at. I guess that’s one reason they are so popular right now. However, believe me, avocados offer more than a mouthful of mono-unsaturated fats going for them. They are filled with fiber, phytonutrients and contribute lots of vitamins and minerals, too.

Nutrition Facts:

One medium avocado, without the skin and seed has ~225 calories, 21 grams of fat, 9 grams of fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, and carotenoids. Additionally, they have lots of other vitamins and minerals, too.

Although avocados have some best health benefits, it has certain limits too. If you’re trying to lose weight or eat within a certain caloric limit, portion size matters. Approximately ¼ of an avocado is considered a serving of fat. Mashed, that’s equal to ~2 tbsp. So, ½ of an avocado is equal to ~1/4 cup mashed avocado, and so on. That’s not to say you should only eat one serving, you should know how much you’re eating though.

Avocado Toast

Probably one of the easiest and healthiest ways to add avocados into your diet is by adding it to the toast. You take a healthy, whole-grain carbohydrate, spread it with healthy fats, then sprinkle it with spices. Not only is it simple, but it’s also delicious.

It may not look good only adding avocados to the toast, for those you can add a variety of other things to make it healthier and tastier. Adding something that has high-quality protein, like oven-baked eggs can turn your toast into a complete meal.
