President Donald Trump took to social media on Sunday to dismiss widespread rumors about his health, declaring that he has “never felt better” in his life. The statement followed days of speculation suggesting Trump was seriously unwell—or even dead.
The rumors spread rapidly online after Trump had not been seen in public for several days. Viral TikTok videos and posts on X claimed the president was suffering from health issues such as chronic venous insufficiency, citing photos of swollen legs and bruised hands as evidence.
VP’s Comments Fuel Online Speculation
Speculation grew further when Vice President JD Vance said in an interview that he was prepared for “a terrible tragedy”, though he also emphasized that Trump was in “incredibly good health.”
Trump Responds on Truth Social
Trump broke his silence on Truth Social, resharing a post from conservative commentator DC Draino, who accused the media of a “comical double standard.”
The post noted that while Joe Biden’s long absences often went unreported, the media exaggerated whenever Trump stayed out of the spotlight for even a short time. Trump agreed with the sentiment, reaffirming that he was in excellent health.
Why the Rumors Started
At 79 years old, Trump is the oldest U.S. president to take office for a second term, which has made his health a frequent subject of discussion. Concerns heightened in August, when White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump underwent medical tests after visible swelling and bruises were noticed.
Trump Spotted Playing Golf Amid Rumors
The speculation eased on Sunday when Trump was photographed playing golf at his Virginia club, wearing his signature red MAGA cap, a white polo shirt, and black pants. He appeared relaxed and energetic. Earlier in the day, he was also seen leaving the White House with his grandchildren, further calming rumors.
