Fox 5 DC journalist Allison Papson quoted a U.S. Secret Service spokesperson, stating, “The Secret Service Uniformed Division and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) investigated a suspicious vehicle at 15th and F Street, NW. As a precaution, road closures were implemented in the area. The MPD’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team responded and declared the scene as safe. All road closures have been lifted.”

As of now, the suspicious package was found on Sunday, leading to a swift response from the bomb squad. Specialists from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit were deployed to investigate the object.
