YouTube recently introduced new creator tools for Shorts, its short-form videos, on Android and iOS platforms. The new tool allows creators to customize the thumbnails of their short videos by adding text, filters, and emojis.
Furthermore, it now gives them more options for selecting thumbnails, even after YouTube Shorts are uploaded. This development builds on recent features tested by the video-sharing platform, such as the ability to instantly interrupt playback.
YouTube shared details about the new features’ launch in a video posted to the Creator Inside Channel. It allows you to add text, filters, and emoji to Shorts thumbnails.
When you select a thumbnail for the short-form video, two additional floating choices for adding text and filter will show in the top right corner of the screen.
In addition to new customization options, users may now select and change the thumbnails of their YouTube Shorts after they have been uploaded on Android and iOS devices
