Samsung has yet to reveal anything about the Galaxy S25 series, but as the company prepares to introduce its next flagship lineup, various leaks related to the design of the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra are making the rounds online.

While a set of renders recently unveiled the design of the flagship smartphone, a fresh rumor indicates that it would be thinner than Apple and Google’s flagship smartphones. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra early next year, alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+. The phone is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

According to X tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra “will be the thinnest and lightest of all Ultra flagship phones to be released soon, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Pixel 9 Pro XL”.

It is unclear how Samsung plans to reduce the size of the Galaxy S24 Ultra successor, and the leak does not reveal the phone’s dimensions. The leak comes shortly after a tipster disclosed the design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra via claimed renders.

While we do not yet know the official dimensions of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, early rumors revealed an 8.25mm thick profile. For comparison, the Pixel 9 Pro XL measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 221 grams. The Galaxy S24 Ultra measures 8.6mm thick and weighs 232 grams.

Based on these specifications, we can guess that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be thinner than 8.25mm and weigh 220 grams or less. However, these design hints should be interpreted with caution.
