Robin Hood 2018 Review: Star-studded, Boring And Worthless

Leonardo DiCaprio-produced remake is an irreverent and spiky take on the hero of Nottingham. Rating: 1.5/5.

As compared to previous Robin Hood and other vigilante films, this take comes up wildly short and with historical inaccuracies. Although the movie was completely star stubbed, the all-star lineup doesn’t do justice to the story and predictability of the plot. If you’ve never seen previous Robin Hood films and are looking for an action-packed and humorous story that mirrors the original legend, then take a chance on this because it just may appeal to you.

The movie plot follows a war-hardened crusader Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) and his Moorish commander (Jamie Foxx) who mount a brave revolt against the corrupt English crown.

Robin Hood 2018 Review:-

With so many negative reviews against Robin Hood 2018 all over the internet, its hard for the movie lovers to decide whether to watch it or not. Although most of the reviews are right, still I think there are certain parts of the movie which most of the fans will love.

With almost every film critic against this movie, Robin Hood 2018 manages to get an average 3.5 out of 10 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is pretty low for a star stubbed movie. Audience Score on the website shows 2.9 out of 5 scores with 52% audience liking.

On IMDB, Robin Hood 2018 has 5.3 out of 10 rating, so its pretty clear that despite many negative reviews, the movie manages to grab the attention of many people who love to watch action-packed movies.

This is the first big project for Director Otto Bathurst, which he mishandled completely. Thus, I think the presence of big stars like Taron Egerton, Jamie Dornan, Jamie Foxx, and Ben Mendelsohn will not be able to save this movie’s future.

Whether to watch it or not:

So, its time for the most important question “whether to watch it or not?” and my answer is a big NO! It’s better you should wait for its home release rather than going out to watch it on a big screen.

Although the movie adaptation was very poor, If you’ve never seen previous Robin Hood films then it may be a great movie for you.
