So rather than going with coffee, it’s better you should switch to herbal drinks. For this green tea is the best alternative that has several health benefits.

3. Exercise

Staying fir in those days is the best you can do for your body. For this, it’s better to do a light jog/walk and yoga which are very beneficial while on your period.

Working out increases the circulation of blood and endorphins, which will boost your mood, relieve cramps and just make you feel good.

4. Go With Healthy Snacks

Try to go with healthy and nutrient-dense snacks. Fruits and veggies with high vitamin E, calcium, and potassium are extremely beneficial for your health.

If you are a chocolate lover like me then it’s the best time to go for dark chocolates. This is actually good for you while you’re on your period, as it is high in magnesium. But make sure it’s 65% cacao or darker!

5. Sleep

Sleeping and allowing your body to rest is very important while on your period. Try to get the recommended 8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to anxiety and depression and make PMS symptoms way worse.
