OnePlus 6T With Fastest In-Display Fingerprint Sensor Launched

OnePlus 6T with fastest in-display fingerprint sensor has officially been launched at Pier 36 in New York. The hardware of OnePlus 6T has been shown off sporting incredibly small bezels with a small notch present at the top that houses the front-facing camera.

Pete Lau, OnePlus Founder, and CEO said, “OnePlus is partnering with T Mobile, the US telecom operator. From November 1, the OnePlus 6T will available across 5600 T Mobile stores across the United States.”

OnePlus 6T specifications:-

The phone feels comfortable to hold, and it’s easy enough to grip – with dimensions of 157.5 x 74.8 x 8.2mm it’s not a large device.

Display:

6.41-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio with waterdrop screen design and an improved screen-to-body ratio of 86 percent.

Processor:

It is packed with an octa-core processor powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU

RAM:

The base model will be offered with 6GB RAM/128GB. It also offers two other variants, one with 8GB of RAM/128GB and 8GB of RAM/256GB.

Internal storage:

128GB and 256GB variant. There is no support for expandable storage via microSD card.

Rear camera:

The dual camera setup on the back, with a 16-megapixel with a f/1.7 aperture main and a 20-megapixel f/1.7 aperture secondary lens. OnePlus 6T will come with a dedicated night mode on its camera for low-light photography.

The rear camera on the OnePlus 6T supports OIS+ EIS and is capable of recording slow-motion video at 480 fps. Named “Nightscape” will allow users to take better photos in such conditions.

The company has insisted its offering can capture low-light images within two-seconds. OnePlus 6T will come with a new Studio Lighting feature, that will allow for portrait mode shots to be taken with added effects.

Front camera:

On the front, it has a 20-megapixel shooter with f/1.7 aperture.

Software:

It will ship with OxygenOS 9.0 sitting on top of Android P pre-installed with Google’s latest and greatest software that originally debuted in August. The smartphone comes with Full Screen Gestures 2.0.
OnePlus has announced it is bringing new gestures to the OnePlus 6T and has worked on over 500 optimizations for its Oxygen OS skin.

Battery:

The OnePlus 6T will arrive with a 3,700mAh battery with support for Dash Charge technology (5v/4A). This will offer a 23 percent battery life increase from the OnePlus 6. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless will be available in a new Red color. With respect to the charging, 10 minutes of charge reportedly offers 5 hours of use, according to OnePlus.

Color Options:

OnePlus 6T has two color options – Midnight Black, and Mirror Black.

Along with all the above specifications, OnePlus 6T comes with under-display fingerprint sensor called Screen Unlock technology with record unlock time of 0.34 seconds. With respect to the security, the dedicated Trust Zone on the Snapdragon 845 stores the fingerprints.

OnePlus 6T with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at $549. The 8GB RAM along 128GB storage is priced $579 and 8GB RAM along with 256GB storage is priced at $629.
