Twitch Drops Not Working: Battlefield 6 Players Report EA Account Linking Issues

Battlefield 6 players are voicing frustration as Twitch Drops fail to work during live streams, preventing them from earning in-game rewards. The issue appears to stem from both broken drop progress tracking and EA Play account linking errors, leaving many unable to claim exclusive Twitch rewards.

Twitch Drops Glitch Hits Battlefield 6 Viewers

The popular Drops feature on Twitch, which lets viewers earn in-game bonuses by watching partnered streams, is reportedly malfunctioning for many tuning into Battlefield 6 broadcasts.

“@Battlefield there is not a twitch drop active to gain progress. I’ve been watching for half an hour on scump stream and no drop has shown up with progress. The twitch drops for a code is broken,” one frustrated user posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Others echoed similar complaints, stating that despite watching for long periods, the Drop progress bar remained stuck or was not visible at all.

Users Also Report EA Account Linking Problems

Alongside the drops glitch, several players reported difficulties linking their Electronic Arts (EA) Play accounts to Twitch. Without proper account linking, earned rewards cannot be claimed or transferred to the game.

Some players said their Drop progress reached 100%, but they still didn’t receive any in-game reward, further fueling confusion and frustration.

What’s Actually Happening?

While the situation caused widespread concern, a number of users clarified that the issue may not lie with the actual reward system, but rather with Twitch’s UI not showing progress updates properly.

Players can try this workaround:

  • Click your Twitch profile icon
  • Check the lower-middle section of the drop-down menu to view active Drops progress

This hidden area may still track your reward progress even if the on-screen drop indicator is missing.

EA and Twitch Yet to Issue Official Response

As of now, neither Electronic Arts nor Twitch has released an official statement addressing the Battlefield 6 Drops issue. Players are encouraged to check both platforms’ support pages and community forums for updates and possible fixes.
