Samsung has begun rolling out One UI 6.1 to its 2021 and 2022 flagship Galaxy devices in South Korea. The Android 14-based custom skin includes various enhancements as well as a host of AI features for the Galaxy S22 family, Galaxy S21 series, and earlier Galaxy foldable phones.

However, older smartphones may not receive the full Galaxy AI package. The One UI 6.1 upgrade was announced in January along with the Galaxy S24 series’ launch. The update was made available for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in March.

According to various posts on Samsung community forums (spotted by SamMobile), Samsung is releasing the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The update is currently being rolled out to eligible devices in South Korea, with other regions anticipated to receive it shortly.

Samsung’s flagship S and Z series phones in 2021 and 2022 will now have access to Galaxy AI features thanks to the latest update. According to the changelog supplied by users, older devices like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 may only acquire the Circle to Search feature with the One UI 6.1 upgrade. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 appears to be gaining AI-generated wallpapers and generative AI-powered editing, among other features.

Users in South Korea can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. It is recommended to update smartphones when connected to a strong Wi-Fi network because the update is large, roughly 3GB.
