Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 series in January at its Galaxy Unpacked event. In areas other than the United States, the regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are powered by the in-house Exynos 2400 SoC, whereas the Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

According to a tip, Samsung will only use Exynos SoCs in the Galaxy S25 series next year. However, the Galaxy Z Fold phones slated to launch in 2025 are expected to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.

On X, tipster Connor (@OreXda) reported that the future Galaxy S series smartphones will use Exynos SoCs. This suggests that next year’s Galaxy S25 lineup may have the yet-to-be unveiled Exynos 2500 SoC. In some markets, this year’s Galaxy S24 phones are powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC.

Furthermore, the source claims that the Galaxy Z series foldable phones in 2025 will only feature Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. If Samsung’s previous debuts are any indication, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will likely be powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. In 2025, the entry-level and mid-range Galaxy A series are expected to be powered by a combination of MediaTek and Exynos SoC.

However, Samsung has yet to unveil plans for its 2025 product range. Also, the identities of Qualcomm and Exynos’ next-generation chipsets are unknown. Therefore, this leak should be treated with a grain of salt.

In all other nations, they use the Exynos 2400 chipset. In comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU in all markets.
