Apple’s fourth-generation iPhone SE will likely be introduced in the first half of this year. Multiple rumors regarding the iPhone SE 4’s launch date appeared earlier this week, and new leaks imply key specifications.

The iPhone SE 4 is said to have a 60Hz refresh rate display. It could utilize Apple’s A18 Bionic processor and include a 48-megapixel back camera. It is rumored to be called the iPhone 16e and positioned as a cheaper alternative to the iPhone 16.

According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the iPhone SE 4, also known as the iPhone 16e, will be revealed soon and positioned as Apple’s cheapest iPhone. According to the tipster, the handset will feature a 6.06-inch full-HD+ LTPS OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The screen is believed to include a notch design.

The phone could include Face ID support. It could run on Apple’s A18 Bionic technology, similar to the latest iPhone 16. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to arrive with a single 48-megapixel back camera. It is likely to have a metal center frame and a waterproof design.

Further, another Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu, confirmed reports of a single rear camera on the iPhone SE 4. He said that the handset would ‘incorporate Apple’s self-developed baseband’. This could be referring to Apple’s in-house 5G modem.

The next-generation iPhone SE is expected to arrive later this month, along with the iPad 11 and iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 software updates. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman denied the reports, indicating that the phone will be available by the end of April
