A Fairfield Fire broke out north of Highway 12 near Pennsylvania Avenue in Fairfield, California, triggering evacuation alerts for nearby residents.

According to initial reports from radio traffic, law enforcement is conducting localized evacuations in the affected areas.

Fire Size and Response Efforts

Incident Command confirmed that the Fairfield Fire is currently about one acre in size, and fire crews are on scene actively working to contain the flames.

Photos and videos shared online show thick smoke rising from the area, visible from several parts of the city.

Evacuation Details Announced

The Fairfield Police Department stated that evacuation orders have been issued for the 1400 and 1500 blocks of James Street, located north of Highway 12.

During an evacuation order, residents must leave immediately because of the imminent threat to life and property, authorities warned.

The Fairfield Fire Department also confirmed the fire is burning close to Highway 12 and Pennsylvania Avenue, a major traffic zone in the area.
