Google on Wednesday rolled out a feature to its Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max that allows Netflix subscribers to watch their favourite shows and series on the company’s smart displays. This feature is available to all Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max users across the globe.
To stream Netflix on Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max smart display, Netflix subscribers will have to link their accounts in the Google Home or Google Assistant app.
Once users have linked their accounts, they can say, “Hey Google, play Queer Eye” to start streaming the series on Google’s smart display instantly. Alternatively, they can say, “Hey Google, open Netflix” to scroll through select content and start watching with a simple tap.
Google Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max users can use a similar technique to stream shows from other streaming platforms such as Hulu or Peacock.
All they need to do is say “Hey Google, watch (pick your favorite show) on Hulu” and the smart display will start streaming the video instantly.
Apart from adding support for Netflix, Google has rolled out an interesting feature on Google Nest Hub Max that enables users to play or pause a video or skip it forward simply by waving their hands.
