iPhone 15 models are still facing overheating issues. Despite the fact that Apple just released iOS 17.0.3, which was designed to address overheating issues on the current iPhone 15 series, some users are still reporting problems with their iPhones.
iPhone 15 Overheating Issue
The update appears to have addressed the issue of fast-charging overheating. Even then, ZDNet reports that owners of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are experiencing overheating when making phone calls, playing games, leaving their phones inactive in their pockets, listening to music, and using the camera.
According to social media reports, some users are still experiencing overheating issues. ZDNet journalists were able to confirm a severe case that provided them with evidence.
Gabriel Suchowolski, a graphic designer based in Madrid, Spain, recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max. He upgraded from an iPhone 13 Pro, which he said only got slightly heated when gaming.
His iPhone 15 Pro Max, on the other hand, gets hot. “Not so hot that it burns, but hot like toast,” Suchowolski explained to ZDNet. He claimed that overheating occurred especially when he did phone calls that lasted more than a minute and when he took 4-5 images in a sequence. This issue persisted after he updated his phone to iOS 17.0.3.
Suchowolski also provided photographic evidence of a thermometer he used to monitor the temperature of his overheating iPhone 15 Pro Max. The thermometer recorded a temperature of 42 degrees Celsius.
