Instagram has been experimenting with different methods to get more people to pay for a verification badge. The Meta-owned startup now allows users to choose whether they want to view feeds from everyone they follow or just a few favorites.
However, according to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri’s Instagram broadcast channel, the company may soon allow users to access only posts from verified people. The function is currently being tested, and Instagram is looking for user feedback to help it develop further.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri uploaded a photo on his broadcast channel showing three choices of how a user would prefer their feed to be. Following, Favourites, and Meta Verifies users are among the three alternatives. According to his post, this will be a new way to boost the visibility of businesses and creators.
The new feature, which allows users to watch Instagram reels and posts from only Meta Verified accounts, is currently in testing and is only available to a small number of people.

The company has not disclosed who will get access to this test feature. It’s also unclear whether this feature will be limited to select regions or available internationally. The company would make additional improvements to the new feature based on the feedback gathered.
This step, however, might be used to encourage more accounts to migrate to a verified account. According to Meta’s most recent policies, anyone can pay and purchase the verified badge for a small monthly charge.
