Google is updating its advertising policies related to housing, employment, and credit opportunities.
Google is not going to let employment, housing, and credit advertisers target or exclude ads from being shown on sites based on demographics like gender, age, parental status, marital status, etc or zip code.
This adds to the search giant’s existing policy that prohibits targeting ads based on race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
Google announced this new policy via a blog and mentioned that this new ad policy will be rolling out in the US and Canada as soon as possible.
Advertisers who are going to get affected by this new policy are going to be notified over the next few weeks.
