Share

Google has officially launched Gemini Advanced. Following various leaks and Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s words during the company’s quarterly earnings call confirming its arrival, the subscription tier of the internet giant’s most powerful AI model is now available.

Along with Bard, the free version of the generative AI chatbot, which now operates on the Gemini Pro platform, has been renamed Gemini. As a promotional offer, Gemini Advanced is currently available for free for two months.

Pichai announced the debut of the AI’s subscription tier in its newsroom, stating, “The version with Ultra will be called Gemini Advanced, a new experience far more capable of reasoning, following instructions, coding, and creative collaboration.”

He also disclosed that the Gemini Advanced subscription will be renamed the Google One AI Premium plan and bundled with Google One. As a result, users who subscribe will receive all of Google One’s other features, as well as 2TB of cloud storage.

A separate post highlighting its features stated that Gemini Ultra could “create step-by-step instructions, sample quizzes, or back-and-forth discussions” and serve as a personal tutor for a user seeking academic help or trying to upskill.

The Ultra model is skilled in advanced coding and can help users in creating, analysing, editing, and debugging complex coding tasks. Furthermore, Google Advanced subscriptions can help digital creators generate content, assess current trends, and provide ideas and inspiration for engagement and audience growth.
