The Google Pixel 9 series is expected to be announced during the company’s next hardware launch event on August 13. In the days leading up to their release, supposed marketing photos of the handsets in the series exposed their design and specifications.
The Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold versions are rumored to come in four colors. They will also likely be powered by Google’s latest Tensor G4 chip. The vanilla Pixel 9 is reported to have a dual back camera setup, while the Pro variants are expected to have three rear cameras.
Tipster Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks), leaked marketing photos for the Pixel 9 Series. The renders show dark grey, light grey, pink, and off-white color possibilities for the phones. They appear to have screens with hole-punch cutouts for the selfie camera.
The handsets also look to have glossy borders, but the back panel appears to have a matte finish. The Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold look to have three back cameras, but the normal Pixel 9 is rumored to have only two.
According to leaked promotional images, the basic Pixel 9 will have a 6.3-inch display and 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch, respectively, with 16GB of RAM. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold could include an updated 6.3-inch cover screen, an 8-inch main display, and 16GB of RAM. All smartphones are likely to use Google’s latest Tensor G4 chip.
According to the alleged marketing images, the vanilla Pixel 9 will feature a dual back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 48-megapixel secondary shooter. It could come with a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are believed to have a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main camera and two 48-megapixel sensors. Both phones could include a 42-megapixel selfie camera.
