Google has released a new update for Gmail’s Summary Cards feature. The latest update to Gmail’s Summary Cards includes a fresh design and action buttons. The Summary Cards will organize information from all connected emails into four categories: purchases, events, bills, and travel.
The new version will allow users to organize and perform actions in their inbox without having to open each email. Purchase Summary Cards are presently available in Gmail for Android and iOS, with the remaining three Summary Cards and a new “Happening soon” section to follow in the upcoming months.
In a blog post, the tech giant revealed improvements and new functionality for Gmail’s Summary Cards. Gmail has long offered Summary Cards inside emails, which provide a bit of information at the top of the email.
The most recent redesign will provide Summary Cards with a fresh style and action buttons. The action buttons allow users to add an event to their Calendar, invite others, or make a bill payment reminder.
As previously noted, the revised Summary Cards in Gmail will appear in the Purchases, Events, Bills, and Travel categories. Users of the Purchases card can track packages, view order data, and access other order-related information.
Events allow consumers to obtain information about upcoming events rapidly. Bills allow you to monitor and pay bills, as well as set due dates, while Travel helps you manage reservations and trip details.
Google says that Summary Cards will visually organize critical information across all related emails. This would enable users to obtain information, view the most recent status, and take action quickly.
